Inkubator Books is pleased to announce that The Hit from Paul Heatley will be published on Amazon on November 1, 2026.
They wanted someone who wouldn’t make waves. They picked the wrong guy.
Zeke Greene walked away from working black ops with the CIA. The Agency didn’t take it well, and they’ve been making sure he can’t find a good job anywhere else.
Out of options, and with a wife and two kids to support, Zeke signs on as
Constable of Lavigne County: a forgotten backwater where nothing ever happens.
But the sleepy vibe is only skin deep. Some towns in the county are no-go areas for the sheriff. There’s a meth epidemic. A lab is blown sky-high. And then the first body turns up.
The sheriff wants it filed as a drug deal gone wrong. Zeke senses there is something bigger here – a criminal empire hiding in plain sight. A suspicion that is confirmed when a killer is sent to make him disappear.
They should have left him alone. Zeke Greene has a family to protect, a talent for violence, and absolutely nothing left to lose.
Quiet little Lavigne County is about to get very, very loud.
The Hit – book 1 in the brilliant new Zeke Greene action thriller series from the author of the bestselling Tom Rollins series.
