BRIAN LYNCH

Director

Brian started his working life as a computer programmer, but disillusioned by the office politics and endless backstabbing, and yearning for a simpler life… he decided to write for TV. That was more than 20 years ago, and since then, Brian has earned over 70 writer credits across various genres – drama, comedy, kids, animation – in Ireland, the UK, Germany and France. His original CBBC show, ‘All at Sea’ was nominated for Best Comedy at the Kids Baftas in 2014  and again in 2015. Having run TV Writers Rooms and been employed as a series script editor, Brian is vastly experienced in working with writers, helping them to solve story, structure, and character problems.

Before becoming an author he was an IT consultant working for clients such as Apple Computers, Bank of America and RS Components. He has lived all over the world including such places as the US, Spain, Venezuela, Colombia and the Philippines. Now back in Ireland, most of the places he visits are in his head.
